Located inconspicuously on the west side of town in North Central Coral Springs, the Kensington neighborhood is the picture of a South Florida family oriented suburban community. It’s subdivisions include Chelsea, Kensington Classics, Kensington Commons, Kensington Gardens, Kensington Glen, Kensington Green, Knightsbridge, Parkwood, Sanctuary and Vanderbilt Estates.
There are Sprawling Spanish-style ranch homes that feature open floor plans and are situated on big lots shaded by palm trees and ringed by canals, with practically all necessities within easy reach. Kensington sits isolated from the rest of Coral Springs, yet is merely 9 miles from Butterfly World, a vibrant botanical garden filled with birds and butterflies. Locals are also a quick 20-mile drive to the beach. Fort Lauderdale, where residents can stroll the river walk or visit the Museum of Science and Discovery, is 25 miles away. Residents of Kensington enjoy easy access to Sawgrass Expressway, connecting them to Florida’s Turnpike and Interstate 95. The Sawgrass Expressway also runs south along the Everglades to Interstate 595, a palm-lined scenic route to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport which is 30 miles away.
