It is is a deed-restricted community with 24 hour gated access and all lots are individually owned with owners belonging to the Brookridge Community Home Owners Association where fees are kept to a low level. Homes in the community vary from 2-4 bedrooms and range from 720 square feet to 2,640 square feet in living area. Some homes overlook the golf course.
Brookridge offers residents a heated pool with a sundeck, clubhouse, tennis courts, an 18-hole golf course, and putting green. The pool, sports courts and regularly scheduled events like bingo games and dances contribute to the active nature of the neighborhood. The biggest amenity in the neighborhood is The Brookridge Country Club Golf Association, which is home to a par 72 championship golf course, pro shop and clubhouse. The pro shop and club house provide the pleasant setting for many social functions and includes a full liquor bar, restaurant snack shop and golf equipment sales, as well as a comfortable area to lounge with friends. The Association host golf leagues, social functions and a yearly tournament. Rotary Centennial Dog is a popular place to socialize your dog just a few miles outside the community, while Bud McKethan Park is where people go for a playground, pavilion picnics and a walking trail. During the warmer months, residents visit Bayport Park Pier on the Gulf of Mexico for fishing, tanning and relaxing. The Suncoast Trail and Tom Van Park, which has baseball, softball, basketball and picnic areas are also nearby.
