Cleveland Heights is a family-friendly neighborhood with a mix of modest starter homes and bigger properties, as well as some townhomes, located south of Lake Hollingsworth and north of Polk Parkway. The neighborhood consists of 1,061 homes bounded on the east by Cleveland Heights Boulevard, an elegant palm tree-lined road reminiscent of Beverly Hills, and on the west by S. Florida Avenue. The neighborhood offers modest starter homes alongside a 27 hole golf course. The homes range from 2-5 bedrooms and from 850 square feet to 1,628 square feet in living area.

Amenities include a 20,000 square feet clubhouse, a 27-hole public golf course, full service pro shop, golf instruction and a restaurant. Residents enjoy walking and biking along Three Parks Trail, a 4-mile path along the neighborhood’s outskirts and a section of Cleveland Heights Boulevard. Common Ground Park, directly north of Cleveland Heights, the first inclusive playground in Polk County that caters to those with physical and developmental disabilities as the park incorporates non-traditional play zones with classics like swings and slides. Peterson Park, farther south, offers an optimal space for little league games with four baseball diamonds. Handley Park offers playground, grills and picnic area.

Florida Avenue South and Cleveland Heights Boulevard are two major thoroughfares for the area, and bus stops run along Florida Avenue for commuters who use public transit. Florida State Route 570 is also in the neighborhood along the southern border. Also known as Polk Parkway, this toll road leads to Lakeland Linder International Airport 6 miles west and connects to U.S. State Route 98 4 1/2 miles east.
