Coquina Key homes are conveniently located in the Southeast area of Pinellas County near Beach Drive. Surrounded by Big Bayou to the northwest, Little Bayou to the southwest, and Tampa Bay to the east, Coquina Key, known as "The Friendly Island" offers all of the Florida's most stunning views from the herons and turtles in the marshy creeks to the dolphins and pelicans of the open water. 

It is located just 4 miles south of Downtown St Petersburg waterfront and the interstate I-275. Coquina Key is populated by a mixture of single-family homes, with townhomes and condos at Waterside, with fantastic views of the Big Bayou and great amenities including a heated pool, hot tub, fitness center and bar. Single-family homes make up a little less than half of the properties with up to 2 car garages. Homes range in size from 2 bedroom, 2 bath layouts with 900 to1,500 square feet of living area to 4 bedroom homes with 3,317 square feet of living area. A typical Coquina Key home is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath layout with 1,500 feet of living space. About one-quarter of the homes are waterfront properties located on quite creeks or on the wide open water. Most of the homes were built in the 1950s and 1060s with homes built in 2016.

The single family homes for sale in Coquina Key are located close to some of the best shopping and restaurants in the area, close to St. Pete Beach and Tierra Verde, and within walking distance to several schools. Downtown St. Petersburg is only about 4 miles north and a minute ride traffic permitting. Downtown is the mecca of culture and dining in the Pinellas County area. Boat lovers will love living on Coquina Key. Walk out to your lift, drop in your boat and you're out to the Bay in minutes. The Gulf of Mexico is just around Pinellas Point. St. Pete Beach is just 8 miles west of Coquina Key. Just south of St. Pete Beach is Pass-A-Grille Beach,  a big favorite with locals and a really special place. It is very laid-back with a lot less tourism than Clearwater Beach or St. Pete Beach.
