El Cid West Palm Beach is the most prestigious historic community in West Palm Beach, located just south of the Downtown area along the Intracoastal Waterway. El Cid is a West Palm Beach iconic community, sought after for its enduring character, approximately 272 upscale homes and unsurpassed location. A distinct characteristic of the El Cid neighborhood is its consistency and flow as you travel down its streets. There is a pattern of very large lots and relatively deep front yard setbacks. The streets themselves are clean, freshly landscaped, and lined with palm trees.

An iconic community combined with its concentration of outstanding period architecture, El Cid is on the west shore of the Intracoastal across from Palm Beach, the closest neighborhood to downtown. The El Cid Historic District is listed on the local, State, and National Register of Historic Places.  S. Flagler Drive separates these homes from the Intracoastal Waterway and it also provides a much-used walking, jogging, and biking path along the water's edge. There are six parks within just a few blocks of El Cid, the largest being North Gallery Park adjacent to the Norton Museum of Art. Residents who wish to hit the beaches can travel either north to the Royal Palm Park Bridge or south to the Southern Blvd. causeway. There are also seven fitness centers and two yoga studios within a mile of the El Cid neighborhood.
