Palm Aire's home styles are as varied with Single-family residences in Palm Aire, comprising minimal traditional ranch-style architecture as well as Spanish eclectic influence. Low, mid and high-rise condominium buildings dwell in the community as well. There are many subcommunities within the Palm Aire area, the majority of them covered by HOAs. The gated Palm Aire Gardens community condominiums range from 1 bedroom with 600 square feet to a 3 bedroom  single family home with 1,949 square feet.

Palm Aire Country Club stretches over 5,000 acres, boasting three courses: the Palms course, 6,944 yards, par-72; the Cypress course.  Golfers of all skill levels are welcomed, and its courses provide a good range of difficulty. The club also offers a golfing academy, two shops and two driving ranges.

Palm Aire is treated to the best of both worlds, with its north side in Pompano Beach and south side in Fort Lauderdale. The rising city of Pompano Beach has been building out its arts, innovation and entertainment district less than 5 miles east of the area. Due south, Fort Lauderdale's established shopping mecca and downtown destination, Las Olas Boulevard, is only around a 5-mile drive away. Furthermore, residents of Palm Aire have their pick of beaches, sitting almost equidistant from the sandy expanses of Lauderdale Beach and Pompano Beach. Moreover, the Palm Aire area has direct connections to major thoroughfares, including Florida's Turnpike, Atlantic Boulevard and U.S. 441. With these main roads and highways come the plentiful commercial strips that skirt them with convenient big-box and grocery stores, regional chains and locally-owned restaurants, as well as entertainment centers, such as Harrah's. There's also the nearby DRV PNK Stadium, a soccer-specific stadium home to Inter Miami CF of Major League Soccer and its MLS Next Pro reserve side Inter Miami CF II.
