Seminole Heights is known for its rich history, strong sense of community and unbeatable location, with a small-town feel, yet it is still close to major highways and only10 minutes from downtown Tampa. Nationally designated as a historic district, it is located  is in Tampa, just east of the Hillsborough River, tucked between East and West Tampa. The neighborhood is south of Carrollwood and USF and north of Ybor City. It is close to I-275 for easy accessibility traveling north or south. Seminole Heights, the neighborhood, consists of three distinct communities: Old Seminole Heights, South Seminole Heights and Southeast Seminole Heights.

Seminole Heights features an array of architectural styles, from early 20th century Craftsman-style bungalows to Florida crackers to modernized Mediterranean. Within the community are smaller original pockets like Hampton Terrace, where bungalows still hold the same charm as when they were built in the 1920s. Founded at the peak of the bungalow style home’s popularity, Seminole Heights boasts more bungalows than any other Tampa neighborhood. The high ceilings, low-pitched roof with wide eaves and large airspace underneath make the small wood-frame building ideal for warm climates. 

Seminole Heights boasts the longest stretch of riverfront park space in Tampa offering everything from pocket parks and beach volleyball courts to dog parks and a disc golf course. Highlight include The Seminole Heights Garden Center, a popular community gathering place, the 160-acre Rogers Park Golf Course, which has an 18-hole course for all skill levels and the Jean Street Shipyard that is the oldest shipyard in the state.

Seminole Heights is a historic neighborhood known for its quirky and eclectic mix of boutiques, galleries and restaurants. Seminole Heights has a bustling night scene, thanks to popular restaurants, craft breweries and distilleries. The area is home to a number of hotspots, a buzzing art scene and even the Lowry Park Zoo.
